The meteorologists called it, the big storm actually made it to Kansas City! All week they were back and forth on whether it would hit us or go south. Friday afternoon I saw how massive the storm was and knew that there was no way we were getting out of this one. Yesterday about noon I decided to do something crazy, I got my camera and went outside in the freezing rain and sleet to take pics of the ice coated trees. This first image is one of my favorites. I love the pink flowers.

I got lucky this time, that is my usual parking spot!I'm looking outside right now and can't believe the difference 24 hours makes. Looks like Spring again! Have a great week! ~ Ashlee
